PDC Excavating Picks

Excavating picks are one of the most vulnerable parts of tunnel excavation, which are used with tunneling rock-broken machines.

The performance of excavating picks has a great influence on the tunneling ability, the power consumption of tunneling excavating machines, the work stability, the workers labor intensity, and the service life of other parts.

Compared with common alloy excavating picks, PDC excavating picks have better wear resistance, higher heat stability, longer service life, higher construction efficiency and higher cost efficiency, especially suitable for the hard rock formations with quartz rock.

Advantages of PDC Coal mining bits:

1. High wear resistance. The wear resistance of PDC is 100 thousand times of carbide alloy. And the substrate’s wear resistance is more than 10 times than of steel material 42 CrMo. It can increase the life of PDC picks greatly, especially used in medium hard formation.

2. High impact resistance. The impact strength is greater than 400 Joule. It can effectively avoid break off and increase the service life.
